2019 Updates!

Lately, I've been so busy that I tend to forget about this blog and my author blog!
I went through a long spell not working on my latest book, "Karma" and then hunkered down and started writing again. Then I hit a spell of not wanting to work on it and that has been the case for the past 6 months or so....lol

It's tough to write a book that is personal; having to revisit times of pain and frustration in my life for the past 11 years. Because of that, I go through many months where I do not want to work on any chapters for the book.

This is my hobby blog, but I have an author blog where I tend to post excerpts of my books, and any other writing projects I've done in the past, or currently working on.

I hope everyone is having an awesome summer! Cheers!

Update on Book- 2019

It's a new year-- hello 2019!

So I seem to go through periods of time where I work on my book constantly (untitled) that talks about my story of being stalked. However, then I end up going through months of not working on it.
I think it's because I'm having to rehash some really hurtful and bad things that happened to me at the hands of my stalker.

I shared an excerpt of a small part of a chapter on my Wordpress blog here:

Sneak Peak

I have a few sneak peaks regarding my new book I am working on~
Working title and other information in the future!

"I have always thought of myself for the most part as being strong.  But after years and now months and months of nonstop hell, it had finally taken its toll and I came to the conclusion that this isn't a weakness, it is just being human.  If I didn't feel any of this, if none of this affected me, I wouldn't be human.  I wouldn't care or feel at all so to put this in a positive perspective, at least I am not without deep feelings and emotions."

"High school is a time when teenagers start to grasp a small concept of who they are, what type of a personality they have, who they REALLY want as friends surrounding them, having their first boyfriend/girlfriend, crying from a broken heart, attending prom, which college they will get into, making memories that will last a lifetime.  It's a magical time when a kid is carefree, having no concept of what it's like to become an adult with hundreds of responsibilities.  The worst thing to happen is to be turned down by a crush, lose the big football game, not get picked to be in the school play, realizing a zit has just popped up right before a big date!  To be that carefree again is something I truly miss.  I sometimes wish I could go back in time and relive some moments in my life differently."

"I remember when I first got the chance to play around on the Internet.  It was in high school and I was sitting in the computer lab when the teacher told us that we could use the rest of the class period to cruise the World Wide Web.  It was so exciting, all this knowledge and answers to just about all your questions, right at your fingertips!  I recall going into chat rooms, looking up my favorite actor, using the Net to do a history report which was so much easier than taking notes out of a book.  I thought it was so brilliant to be able to send personal mail but electronically.  This technology was wonderful and I never ever could fathom there being a dark side to it.

But there's a dark side to everything really.  Now when I log into my personal email account, if I see that I have messages, I wince."

"It all happened so quickly as I walked up to the information desk, softly asked which floor human resources was located on and then walked to the elevator doors, hoping she wouldn't follow me up.  Luckily she didn't and as I exhaled the breath I was holding, the ding of the elevator door chimed and the doors opened.  I stepped out of the dark elevator and again was met with the cheerful sun beaming in through the many windows on the third floor.  I made my way to human resources and checked in to see if they were hiring."

New Project

I have to admit it, I am burnt out of writing paranormal books for the time being.  I mean, my 5 books are all on the same subject matter basically.

So I am working on a new project.  It's a personal story/journey and one that seems neverending.  The genre will probably be that of impactful/biographical- but it will be a work of fiction.  I will be writing under a pen name (TBA) and do have a working title but am still a bit undecided on that.

This is a work in progress and I'm up to chapter 9 at this point.  This book will not happen overnight because there is so much to cover.  The process of this book is painful and frustrating and dredges up a lot of resentment and anger.  That's why I am taking my time with it.  At this point, it's looking to be completed about 2 years out or so.

Looking into the Future

I have been very busy with Roo's Hobbies, an online business my husband and I started.  Plus I am trying to finish my 5th paranormal/historical book about Summerwind Mansion.

The next book I will be tackling will be a sort of "true crime" type book.  I have always been fascinated by shows like "Forensic Files" and other shows that you see on the I.D. Discovery Channel.  I have NO idea when this book will be released, it may be a few years from now.  This will be a different (and tougher) type of book for me because so far, I have published paranormal-historical type books.  I am still at the rough draft/planning stages but am excited to see where it goes AND hope I can find time here and there to work on it!  :-)

UPDATE:  I just sent in the photos for my 5th paranormal/historical book and only have 3 chapters left to write and my manuscript will be sent in!!!

My Books

I have loved to write and be creative since I was in elementary school.  The love and passion I have for literature has never died and now I am very proud to say that I went from being a self published author to a published author with the company called "The History Press"

I have published 4 books and they are all paranormal/historical based.  I cover several areas in Wisconsin (mostly in the area I reside in).  They are areas or locations such as a house, cemetery, road, anything you can think of and I love writing about these places!  And I love history as well, that's why I cover not only the ghost lore legends but also the history as well. I have this saying, "Without history there would be no ghost lore."  Basically without locations having a history, there would be no ghost lore whether they are tall tales or there is truth behind a mysterious past.

My first three books I self published:

1st book~ "Caryville A Spirited Past"

2nd book~ "Haunts of Wisconsin"

3rd book~ "Haunted Eau Claire: Your Guide to Eau Claire's Spookiest Spots"

A friend who is in the paranormal and also a published author was asked to write a book on the haunted Chippewa Valley.  He thought that this would be a great chance for me and that I would do a good job in writing it.  So he referred The History Press to me and from there I wrote my 4th book called, "Haunted Chippewa Valley"~ it is a part of the "Haunted America" series.

My latest book just came out September of 2016! It is called, "Haunted Summerwind: A Ghostly History of a Wisconsin Mansion" Like my Chippewa Valley book, my new book is a part of the Haunted America series from The History Press.

If anyone is interested in purchasing any of my books, they are all available on Amazon.com:
